Porches Pottery is a small team dedicated to keeping alive the art of hand-painted pottery. Founded in 1968, we continue to uphold the traditions that have shaped our work for nearly 60 years. If you’re drawn to traditional craftsmanship and would like to be part of this ongoing story, we’d be pleased to hear from you.

Current roles available: 

We’re currently looking for reliable, practical people to join our team in the following roles:

• Administrative & Customer Service Support (Bilingual) – organised, confident with emails, phones, and admin tasks. Fluent spoken and written Portuguese and English are essential for this role.
• Sales Assistant & Pottery Painter – A two-part role: We’re looking for someone calm, steady, and patient — someone who finds quiet satisfaction in making something meaningful to paint ceramics; but also friendly, presentable, and happy talking with visitors in our shop. Fluent spoken English & Portuguese are essential for this role. You don’t need to be a trained artist or have a creative background; in fact all our painters learned their skill with us and most have come from other hands-on roles.  
• Café - Our newly renovated café is looking for people with relevant experience in hospitality, both front of house and in the kitchen.
